A multi-page feature in LUXE’s milestone Arizona issue on Angelica Henry Design’s Desert Bloom retreat. The story traces how a couple’s frequent Scottsdale travels became a resort-calm second home — a neutral palette built to “let the desert sing,” brushed-limestone floors flowing from great room to pool terrace, and commissioned steel artworks, from the dining room’s suspended sculpture to the steel base beneath the primary bath’s concrete tub.

A multi-page feature on a newly constructed Angelica Henry Design retreat in Scottsdale’s Sonoran Desert — a second home that reimagines outdoor living as a seamless extension of the interior. The story follows the project’s material narrative: brushed limestone carried from interior to exterior, vein-cut stone walls, pocketing glass, and a walnut ceiling warming the outdoor rooms — created in collaboration with Fisher Custom Homes, Trademark Landscape, and Phoenician Pools.

Twenty-plus years after designing her first residential project — a Prairie Style-inspired North Scottsdale home built with Tom Fisher and architectural designer Jeff Biever — Angelica returned at the same clients’ request to refresh it. The remodel preserved the architecture everyone loved, keeping the original flagstone flooring and interior stonework while adding hanging steel-and-glass cabinetry, an illuminated art-glass panel, and upholstered acoustic panels concealed along the great room’s ceiling line.
